Google Pixel 9 Pro XL full specs and price just leaked right before Made by Google event

We’re just days away from the August 13th Made by Google event, where we’re likely to get our first official look at this year’s Pixel 9 lineup. However, ahead of the event, leaked images and detailed specs of some of the unannounced phones have surfaced, along with more specific pricing information for the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The leak comes from @MysteryLupin, who has shared the latest details about the new Pixel devices on X. There have been ongoing price rumors about the new models, with a previous report suggesting a steep price of $1,199 for the Pixel 9 Pro XL. However, @MysteryLupin claims that it will actually be priced at $1,099, which could be for the 128GB version, while the $1,199 price might apply to the 256GB version.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL: Rumored Specs

In any case, these prices suggest that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be more expensive than last year’s Pixel 8 Pro, which saw a $100 price increase, bringing it to $999. This new information indicates that it will cost even more to get a phone of the same size. However, we may also see a Pixel 9 Pro offered at a lower price alongside the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The drawback to this new claim is that it undermines what has made Google’s Pixel phones so appealing to die-hard fans—their competitive pricing, which has traditionally undercut rivals like Apple and Samsung.
